Easy Rider Vietnam: Luggage, Packing & Rain Questions
Can you take a suitcase on an Easy Rider tour? The answer depends on the motorcycle, route and luggage arrangement. A useful plan starts with your real bag size and destination—not a promise copied from another tour company. Here are the questions to settle before a day trip or a multi-day ride.

Can I bring a suitcase or large backpack?
Small luggage is normally secured behind the guest on the motorcycle. Send Highland Sport Travel your bag dimensions, approximate weight and number of bags before booking so the team can confirm whether your luggage fits the bike and route. Do not assume that a large hard-shell suitcase can be carried in the same way as a small bag. A separate luggage delivery, when arranged, has an additional charge.
What changes between a loop and an onward journey?
On a loop returning to Da Lat, it may be practical to travel with only the things you need for that day, provided you have separately arranged storage for the rest. On a one-way journey to Nha Trang or Mui Ne, all your belongings need a clear plan to reach the finish. Ask who carries each bag, where it goes and when you receive it.
Is luggage storage or delivery included?
Small luggage is normally tied securely at the back of the motorcycle as part of the riding arrangement. A separate luggage delivery costs extra; ask for the fee for your bag and destination before booking. Storage is a different service and must be confirmed with the team or your accommodation. Keep valuable and fragile belongings separate and agree how you will access the items you need during stops.
What should I keep accessible?
Keep essentials together in a small secure bag: items needed during stops, personal medication, sun protection and weather protection. Ask the rider where that bag should go so it does not interfere with the passenger position. Secure your phone and avoid loose straps. Do not assume you can open a large strapped bag whenever the motorcycle stops.
What clothes should I pack?
Choose comfortable long trousers, closed footwear and layers suitable for changing conditions. For an overnight journey, include a change of clothes and personal toiletries without packing as if you have a car boot. Discuss the planned stops before packing extra equipment. A waterproof liner for sensitive belongings can add protection, but no packing method should be described as a guarantee against every rain shower.
Does the tour run if it rains?
That is an operating decision for your route and departure, not a universal rule for all Easy Rider tours. Ask how the team checks conditions, what rain protection is supplied and how it contacts you if the plan changes. A brief shower, poor visibility and a severe-weather warning are different situations. Do not interpret rain gear as a promise that the journey always continues.
Will I get a refund if weather changes the plan?
Check the cancellation, postponement and weather-change terms supplied with your booking before paying. A changed route, delayed departure and cancelled tour are different situations, and a refund should not be assumed from a general description. Contact Highland Sport Travel for the conditions applicable to your chosen route and date. The normal booking deposit is 30%; that amount alone does not establish whether a payment is refundable.
What should I send before booking?
Share the route and date, your bag dimensions and weight, your starting and finishing accommodation, and any fixed onward travel. Ask for the agreed luggage method and weather-change terms in writing. This gives the operator enough information to make a workable plan and gives you something clear to check before departure.
