Ride beyond Da Lat’s busy centre with your own local motorbike driver-guide. This guide compares the Easy Rider programmes offered by Highland Sport Travel so you can choose a route that fits your time and onward plans.

Da Lat Easy Rider Guide: How the Motorcycle Tour Works

The essentials

  • Passenger format: one local driver-guide, one motorbike and one guest.
  • Day-tour prices: US$30 per person for a half day; US$45 for a full day.
  • Day-tour costs: most entrance tickets are included; meals, drinks and accommodation are separate.
  • Booking: a typical 30% deposit; online or cash payment.

What is an Easy Rider tour in Da Lat?

An Easy Rider tour is a guided motorcycle journey where you travel as a passenger behind a local driver. It is different from renting a bike and navigating independently. On Highland Sport Travel’s passenger tours, each guest has their own driver-guide, so the trip combines transport, local explanations and sightseeing stops.

You do not operate the motorcycle as a passenger. If you want to ride your own bike instead, tell us before booking: self-riding is a separate arrangement and requires a motorcycle licence valid for use in Vietnam. We check the requirements for your booking rather than treating every licence as automatically suitable.

Da Lat countryside motorcycle road

Half day, full day or a longer motorbike trip?

Half-day Easy Rider: a shorter first experience

The half-day countryside tour costs US$30 per person and suits a shorter stay or a first motorbike outing. Coffee, silk and countryside stops give the ride a local focus. Choose this when you want time left for the city, rather than trying to squeeze a full-day route into one morning.

Full-day countryside: coffee, waterfalls and local life

The US$45 countryside day offers more time outside Da Lat. Waterfalls and coffee-growing areas are the focus, with stops shown in the specific itinerary. Each guest travels with a driver-guide. Most entrance tickets are included; meals and drinks are paid separately. There is no solo supplement for this one-driver, one-guest format.

Onward journeys and return loops

A direct Da Lat to Nha Trang Easy Rider tour suits travellers continuing to the coast. The three-day Nha Trang route via Lak Lake takes more time in the highlands. For Mui Ne, compare the one- and two-day options on the same route page.

If you need to return to Da Lat, choose a loop rather than a one-way transfer. Options include the Ta Dung and Lak Lake loop and the Cat Tien return programme. For Saigon, compare the Bao Loc and Ta Dung route, the Cat Tien route and the three-day Saigon itinerary; their stops are different, so choose by the journey you want.

Luggage, comfort and booking details

Small luggage: smaller bags can be secured behind the motorbike. Send us the size and number of bags before departure. Larger bags or a separate luggage transfer may involve an extra charge, agreed before the trip.

Comfort: wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes, and bring a light layer for Da Lat. Ask about the expected time on the bike, breaks, helmet fit and arrangements in wet weather. Road travel involves risk; a local driver does not make a motorcycle tour risk-free.

Reservation: send your route, date, number of guests, hotel and luggage details. We confirm availability, meeting arrangements, inclusions and the payment instructions. The usual deposit is 30%; online and cash payments are accepted.

Da Lat Easy Rider: frequently asked questions

Do I drive the motorbike myself?

On the standard Easy Rider passenger tour, your driver-guide rides and you sit behind them. Tell us specifically if you want a self-riding arrangement.

How much does an Easy Rider tour in Da Lat cost?

Highland Sport Travel’s half-day tour is US$30 per person and the full-day countryside tour is US$45 per person. Multi-day routes are priced separately; the Cat Tien options and their totals are shown in the comparison above.

Can I join alone without a solo surcharge?

Yes, the day-tour format is one driver-guide for one guest, with no solo supplement. Tell us your date so we can confirm availability. Multi-day accommodation arrangements are confirmed with the selected route.

Are food and accommodation included?

Meals and accommodation are separate on the day tours. The listed two- and three-day Cat Tien programmes include accommodation but exclude meals. Check every multi-day route individually.

Can I combine Easy Rider with other Da Lat activities?

Yes. Plan the motorcycle outing on a separate day from a full canyoning programme, or discuss a longer stay with SUP and lakeside camping. Highland Sport Travel also operates these outdoor activities, so we can help sequence them around your available dates.
