Easy Rider or Private Car in Da Lat? Questions Answered

Choosing between an Easy Rider motorbike and a private car changes how your Da Lat day feels. This guide helps couples, solo travellers and families compare the experience, comfort and booking details without assuming one option suits everyone.

01 · What is the main difference?

On an Easy Rider outing you sit behind your guide-rider and experience the countryside from a motorbike. In a private car your group travels together in the vehicle, with agreed sightseeing stops. Choose the style you actually enjoy. A motorbike is not simply a cheaper car transfer, and a car driver is not automatically a sightseeing guide.

02 · How should I compare the cost?

Our standard Easy Rider prices are US$30 per guest for half a day and US$45 per guest for a full day, with one guide-rider per guest and no solo supplement for that standard arrangement. Private-car day hire is VND 1,000,000–1,200,000 for a 4-seat vehicle or VND 1,200,000–1,400,000 for a 7-seat vehicle. Car prices are per vehicle, not per person; actual seating and luggage capacity must be checked.

03 · Are the inclusions the same?

No. Easy Rider generally includes the normal sightseeing tickets on the agreed programme, with optional activities checked separately. Meals, drinks and day-trip hotel costs are separate. Standard car hire runs 07:30–17:00, up to 100 km per day; attraction tickets, meals and hotels are separate, and extra time, distance and airport transfers need a separate quote. Compare written inclusions rather than headline prices in different currencies.

04 · What about children, older relatives or nervous passengers?

Tell us children’s ages, passenger confidence, mobility and any relevant concerns before booking. Motorbike suitability and helmet fit need checking; we do not publish a universal promise that every family member can ride. A car may be more practical when the group wants to stay together, has substantial luggage or needs frequent flexible stops.

05 · Can we arrange Halal meals or language support?

Send your requirements before the route is confirmed. Meal stops can be discussed, but “no pork,” vegetarian food and a standard local lunch should not be assumed Halal. English-speaking guide or driver availability must be confirmed for your service. Korean- or Mandarin-speaking support also needs a specific request; it is not automatically included in either option.

06 · What happens if it rains?

A car provides a different level of shelter from a motorbike, but neither mode guarantees an unchanged itinerary. Tell us if wet-weather riding is a concern. Agree who decides on route changes and what your booking allows if conditions are unsuitable. Do not assume a motorbike booking automatically converts to a car at the same price.

07 · Can some of us ride and others take a car?

Ask for a tailored arrangement. Separate vehicles, staffing, meeting points and timings need a combined plan and quote. This can be useful for a mixed-interest family, but it is not an automatic inclusion or a guaranteed support-car service. Highland Sport Travel can help you compare the two plans before you commit.

Quick answers before booking

Is a motorbike tour private just because I have my own rider?

Not necessarily. One guide-rider per guest describes the bike arrangement; confirm whether the overall itinerary is private or joins other riders.

Can I choose a female rider?

You may request one, but availability must be checked and confirmed before booking.
